Sunday,  April 9

Hike Kinzua Bridge State Park. Meet at the park parking lot at 2:00 p.m. View the new museum and hike to the bottom of the gorge. Leader: Pat Shinaberger, 814-598-4590.
Saturday, April 15 Hike the Hemlock Run. This is a 6.8-mile shuttle hike on the North Country Trail from the trailhead at Route 59 to the Chappel Bay Trailhead on Route 321. Hikers should dress for muddy terrain and bring their lunch and water. Meet at the Ranger Station at Routes 59 and 321 at 10:30 a.m. Leaders: Susan Guenther and Ray Carlson, 716-763-4386 or 716-450-1746.
Wednesday, April 19 Float Tionesta Creek, Sheffield to Blue Jay Bridge. Meet at Sheffield Boat Launch at 10:00 a.m. Bring water and lunch. Permit required to use the launch site. Cancelled if temperature is below 60 F AND raining. Leader: Dennis Anderson, 716-969-9772.
Sunday, April 23 Hike Flat Run. This hike is about 6 miles and has several small stream crossings. Meet at Howe's True Value at 1:30 p.m. Leader: Jim Houghtling, 814-723-1654.
Sunday, May 7 Bike Rouseville to Franklin. Meet at Betts Field at 1:30 p.m. Leader: Earl Ross, 814-726-3920.
Wednesday, May 10 Bike Presque Isle State Park. Meet at the first parking lot on the right after entering the park at 2:00 p.m. Leader: Pat Spicer, 814-757-8331, evenings.
Sunday, May 14 Hike at Lakeview Cemetary. Meet at the Methodist Church beside the Cemetary parking lot on Buffalo Street, Jamestown, NY at 1:30 p.m. Leader: John Young, 814-730-2915.
Wednesday, May 17 Kite Flying and Pot Luck Dinner. This event is to solicit donations for Warren Gives charity fund. Hot dogs provided. Bring a dish to pass. Meet at the home of Debra and John Young from noon to 4:00. 814-730-8388
May 24 - 27 Bike and Camp Trip to Gettysburg. Camp at Gettysburg Battlefield KOA at 20 Knox Road, Gettysburg, PA; 800-562-1869 or 717-642-5713. Mention you are with the AOC in order to camp together. Leader: Dennis Anderson, 716-969-9772.
Sunday, May 28 Memorial Day Weekend Float. Launch at Webb's Ferry Boat Launch at 1:30 p.m. Stop at Red Oak Campground afterward for campfire. Leaders: Deb Young, 814-730-8388.
Tuesday, May 30 Hike Chapman Dam. FR437 to Mohawk Road. Meet at Musante Street at 1:30 p.m. Leader: Greg Burkett, 814-723-4989.
Wednesday, May 31 Bike From Van on Sandy Creek and Allegheny Trails to Franklin. Meet at Sheetz in Cranberry, PA (Rt. 322 and Rt. 257) at 10:00 a.m. A shuttle ride. Leader: Pat Spicer, 814-757-8331, evenings.
Sunday,  June 4 Hike Spetz Hill to Blue Eye. A shuttle hike. Meet at Betts Field at 1:30 p.m. Leader: Linda Ross, 814-726-3920.
Wednesday, June 7 Bike Rim Rock to Warren. Meet at the south trail head of Warren Bike Trail at 10 a.m. Transport to Rim Rock and bike back. Leader: Pat Spicer, 814-757-8331, evenings.
Sunday,  June 11 Float from the dam to The Point Park in Warren. Meet at Point Park at 1:00 p.m. for shuttle, weather permitting. Event canceled if raining AND temperature is below 60 F. Leader: Dennis Anderson, 716-969-9772.
Wednesday, June 14 Bike Starbrick to Garland and Return. Stop at Richard's on return. Meet at Starbrick Boat Launch at 10:00 a.m. Leader: Pat Spicer, 814-757-8331, evenings.
Wednesday, June 21 Bike at Franklin. Meet at trail head in Franklin, on right immediately after crossing river (salt box house) at 10:00 a.m. Leaders: Bill and Jean Ferry, 814-757-9260.
June 25 - 28 Biking and Camping in Buffalo-Niagara Area. Meet at the Jamestown Park-and-Ride at 9:00 a.m. on 25th. Drive to Buffalo-Niagara Falls Area. The group will bike on trail in area around Grand Island and Robert Moses Parkway (20 miles) and Clarance Pathways to Akron (16 1/2 miles). The group will tent-camp at Niagara Falls/Grand Island KOA, 2570 Grand Island Boulevard, P.O. Box 509, Grand Island, NY 14072. Call 800-562-0787 or 716-773-7583 for reservations.
